1A80, 1830 Bristol to Paddington was booked for an HST by this time but 1022 'Western Sentinel' was rostered on 15/1/77 and put up a fine perfomance. Not bad for a loco with only a month or so to go.

One week Later see's 'Western Fusilier back on railtour duty.Moreton-in-the-Marsh is the location and the train is 1Z08, 0830 Cardiff Central to Paddington run by the Monmouthshire Railway Society.Previous | NextThe following day 'two little ducks' was alloacted to work 1B33, 1430 Paddington to Plymouth which it worked through-out. It is seen at Penzance.
